ALL LEVEL WORKSHOP:
Beginner: Learning how to cut basic shapes and follow a line; familiar with basic tools and supplies. Fusers understand full, contour, tack, slump firing programs.
In this workshop you will be learning how to design a "quilt" look using colorful stringer part sheets (see pictures).

You will start with a 6"x 6" base opaque color of your choice. (That color will also match one of your stringer colors.) The first day will be spent creating your stringer part sheet strips. The second day will be spent cutting those strips into 1" squares and designing those different squares into a "quilt-like" look on your base.
You must have the following supplies for this workshop:
* a 6" x 6" precut sheet of opaque glass (your color of choice)
* three 12" x 1" strips of precut clear glass (Cut these as precisely as you can.)
* several complimentary colors (one color that matches your opaque base) of stringers that are at least 12" long (about 40-50 in all)
The instructor will have extra colors of stringers for those who may need them. The first day's firing will cost $1.50 and the second day's firing will cost $1.50 to fuse and another $1.50 if you choose to slump your project.
YOU ALSO NEED TO HAVE THE FOLLOWING GENERAL SUPPLIES LISTED BELOW:
* Glass cutting tools: Toyo Cutter, Running Pliers, Grozers, Nippers, Cutting Surface (Quilt-type mats work best)
