Workshop Level: Beginner

Need to know how to cut basic shapes, follow a line; and be familiar with basic tools and supplies. Must know basic soldering skills.

Students will create a mobile by making six panels and use a jig to assemble the panels. Jig will be provided. . Each panel needs about 1/4 ( 3 X 12") sheet of glass. Panels can be in colors of your choice. This is also a good time to use up your larger pieces of scrap glass.

General supplies to bring to class:

• Glass cutting tools: Toyo Cutter, Running Pliers, Grozers, Nippers, Cutting Surface (Quilt-type mats work best)
• Stained glass scissors and regular scissors
• Soldering supplies: pins, foil, fid, flux, and solder
• Writing Tools: Black Sharpies (fine and regular), silver marker
• Other helpful items: A carrying box for projects
• Safety Items: Towel or heat proof glove, Mask (not a P-100), Safety glasses, Closed-toe shoes, Band-aids
