Workshop Level: Intermediate/Advanced: Must be able to work on your own with minimal guidance. Must be comfortable with tools, supplies and skills necessary for stained glass.

Students will be creating an Eagle spinner that consists of 6 panels. You must have frames to place your pattern, cut pattern pieces and fit them into the frame. A jig and 360 degree hanging hook will be provided for assembly of spinner.

General supplies to bring to class:

  • Glass cutting tools: Toyo Cutter, Running Pliers, Grozers, Cutting Surface (Quilt-type mats work best), ruler
  • Stained glass scissors and regular scissors
  • Frames and pins
  • Red, White, clear, and blue glass. The amount of glass varies. Recommend 4"X12" of each color. The panels are about 4X4. Refer to picture to help determine amount needed. You can make your Eagle any colors you want. Our intention is a patriotic bird.
  • Soldering items: foil, fid, flux and solder
  • Writing Tools: Black Sharpies (fine and regular) and silver sharpie
  • A towel or heat proof glove
  • A carrying box for projects
  • Safety Items: Mask (not a P-100) for soldering, Safety glasses, Closed-toe shoes, Band-aids
