  • An All Levels Workshop using Copper Oxide to make Blue Glass Bubbles.

Workshop Level: Beginner Level


Have fun painting clear glass with black Copper Oxide powder to turn the plain glass to different shades of blue.


  



Cap your painting with matching clear glass and top with a design of your choice. People can buy Copper Oxide on Etsy or buy a tsp.  for $1 from me during class. No other fee. They should also bring opal scrap for any decor they want to add.


General supplies to bring to class:

Two 6x6 pieces of clear glass

* Glass cutting tools: Toyo Cutter, Running Pliers, Grozers, Nippers, Cutting Surface (Quilt-type mats work best)

* Glues: Elmer’s (clear or white), Aloe Vera Gel

* Writing Tools: Black Sharpies (fine and regular),

* Other helpful items:Tweezers, Toothpicks, A carrying box for projects. A paintbrush and small squeeze bottle of water

* Safety Items: Safety glasses, Closed-toe shoes, Band-aids

* Bring a firing ticket!
