ALL LEVELS OF EXPERIENCE
You will create a a small dish. The base can be either 4x8 clear or 6x6 clear. You will be cutting 1" squares of your color choices. If you are new to cutting glass, it is helpful to cut the 1" squares ahead of the class. You will need approximately 30 !" squares to cover the base.
We will then place them in an overlapping pattern. You can use either opal, transparent, or a mix of both.
Required glass:
a clear base either 4 x 8 or 6x6
enough glass to cut about 30 1" pieces (a few extra is great)
general supplies to bring to class:
* Glass cutting tools: Toyo Cutter, Running Pliers, Grozers, Nippers, Cutting Surface (Quilt-type mats work best)
* Glues: Elmer’s (clear or white), Needle nosed bottle with non-aerosol hairspray
* Writing Tools: Black Sharpies (fine and regular), Pen & Pencil
* Other helpful items:Tweezers, Toothpicks, A carrying box for projects
* Safety Items:, Safety glasses, Closed-toe shoes, Band-aids
* Bring a firing ticket! This project will require 2 firings.
