INTERMEDIATE LEVEL
Must be able to design and create simple projects with minimal guidance & trained on all studio equipment. Fusers are learning about special firing programs.
We will be creating a fused starburst bowl or planter.
You will need 2 sheet of clear glass and scrap strips of whatever color you want your accent pieces to be. Check your colored pieces on the edges. If they look dark or clear on the edge, they will not show up well in your bowl, You want the colors to be vibrant.
You will need to cut 1 1/2 sheets of your clear glass into 3/4" strips ahead of the class. The strips do not have to be precise.
Bring liquid hairspray - you will be using it as a spray so you will need a pump bottle of hairspray.
You will build your project on top of (provided) firing paper.
If you have a lazy Susan - bring it with you. Although not necessary, it makes it easier.
We are suggesting slumping in to Mold RO34 which is a 12" circle. The slightly smaller RO24 and RO27 will also work. You need to decide before class which one you will be using.
Bring all the usual tool supplies, writing tools, new firing ticket and a project carrying case.
