INTERMEDIATE LEVEL
Registration begins 9/14.

We are going to make a Little Red Truck platter, approximately 6 x 12. Students will need to bring all glass & cutting tools. You can choose to make the truck with transparent or opal glass.
You will need:
- two 6x12 sheets of clear glass, either 1) 2mm & 1) 3mm thick OR 2) 3mm thick (finished size)
- clear powdered frit to sprinkle between the two sheets of clear glass so you don't get bubbles
- one 6x12 sheet of red glass, either transparent or opal - I really like the way cherry red transparent turned out in the sample I made
- several black stringers for outlining truck & making tree trunk OR black glassline paint - if you use black glassline paint you will need clear powdered frit to make it look blacker
- several dark green stringers for Christmas tree, either transparent or opal
- you will need to choose what type & color of glass you want for hubcaps & headlight, something iridescent would work well, if you want you could make dots ahead of time OR you could just cut small circles - approximately 5/8" for the hubcaps & 3/8-1/2" for the headlight
- you will need black glass for the tires - they are 1 1/2" in diameter if you want to cut the circles ahead of time
These will be finished in a mold - please look at your mold options ahead of time, I like #14 & #24 - other molds might be ok, the finished size of the truck & tree should be approximately 4"x9" so that needs to fit into the center of your chosen mold. There will be 2 firings.
