Want small flowers, leaves, and other fun shapes? Join us to learn freeze and fuse to make flowers, animals, leaves, etc. This will be a two - segment workshop ON THE SAME DAY. We will use opal powdered frit mixed with water in silicone molds which will then be frozen. We will take a break until 2:00pm then return to remove the items from the molds and place them on a 6x6 tile prepared with Papyros (kiln) paper. The tiles will go immediately into the kiln to be fired.
Project size is 6 x 6. There will be one (1) firing.
You will need to bring:
A P100 mask (no exceptions) The disposable version can be ordered on Amazon or purchased at the GAC store. Check store hours!
Your favorite colors of COE 96 opal powdered frit . Note: Check order & delivery dates. Also available on Amazon, Delphi Glass, and Etsy.
Note: Transparent powders (non-see through) do not always work as well as opals.
Silicone molds will be provided. Your firing slip and $1.25 will be paid at the front desk the afternoon of the class.
Always wear closed toe shoes and your name badge and bring your safety glasses.
