Registration

  • This is a 4 part class with choice of Sunflower or Bird design spinner. 6 duplicate panels will be made in the first two sessions and assembly in the last two classes.

Registration is closed

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL.

In this workshop you will learn how to make a six-sided spinner.  You will be given a choice to make a sunflower or a hummingbird spinner.   Both patterns will be available.

This class is for intermediate students who already know how to do the copper foil method of stained glass.

You will need to bring all of your own glass, supplies, and tools.  You will make six individual panels that will then be connected into the spinner.

The first Tuesday and Wednesday we will work on panels and the second week we will put them together. Please bring a spinner jig to class if you have one to make the work easier to construct.

The Hummingbird is 4" x 7" x 6 panels. Plan your glass accordingly.  Probably a half sheet for the flower, half sheet for the background and then various colors of your choice for the bird.  Remember you are making 6 identical panels. If you are doing the sunflower, it is approximately 4" x4" x 6 panels and you will need a sheet of yellow and a half sheet of amber for the center.  If you prefer a different color, bring whatever you choose to use.
